About Kuntau Panglima

The Association of Persilatan Kuntau Panglima was registered under the Registration of Societies Act of Malaysia in 2016. This association has been very active in providing training, seminars, courses, workshops and performances based on martial arts that are different from the silat available today.

Kuntau Panglima is synonymous with empty-handed combat or sparring that uses gloves. This Silat technique is more patterned in the form of 'buah pukol'. This simple, fast and effective technique has given this Silat an advantage to be explored for all ages. The uniqueness and strength of this martial art is to its combat techniques that are relevant and accurate. Kuntau Panglima's teaching system provides exposure to the concept of combat (sparring) using gloves. This training enlightens students with practicing a high focus and a solid level of self-stability. It is also a technique to instill self-confidence in each student to be able to deal with every problem and threat.

About our founder, Dr. Shahrudi Bin Sani

The Association of Persilatan Kuntau Panglima was founded by Dr. Shahrudi bin Sani who received his education from Prof Datuk Dr. Haji Baharom bin Haji Kamari. He is one of the few martial arts teachers who pioneered programs by world universities and successfully received a Doctor of Philosophy (Martial Arts) degree by the Asia Pacific Open University of Martial Arts Malaysia in 2011.
